Welcome to A Plentiful Life, I’m Tijana the gal behind the blog! This all started about 5 years ago when a friend asked me, or more like yelled at me and said, “How can you afford to live on a contractors salary in one of the most expensive cities?!?” I honestly hadn’t thought about it. It’s not like I stayed home all the time to save money. I went out for dinners, bought new clothes (well new clothes to me), drinks out with friends, I owned a car, rented an apartment on my own and lived a pretty wonderful life. This question stuck with me, HOW did I afford to live in this city on my wage?
When I really thought about it, I was of the mindset to live within in my means. I would meal plan (without really thinking about it), buy thrifted clothing (there were always great finds), eat dinner before going out (let’s be honest we all had a liquid diet), and each month know how much money I needed to live.
A Plentiful Life for me is not living with less. It’s about getting everything you want in a creative way, that makes you feel good and doesn’t crush your bank account! Could you imagine a trip to Spain for 18 days could cost $1500 or stylish outfits from head to toe could coming in under $100 or by meal planning you will be saving food and money? Let me show you how.
A little bit about me. I live in North Vancouver, Canada on the side of a mountain and can see the city lights from our bedroom. This past year I married the love of my life Mark in a beautiful space close to our home. It was a DIY wedding with all the special touches. Redecorating all of the rooms in our townhouse, it’s my most favorite thing to do! I’ve been thrifting since I was a kid, back then everything was 99 cents, lol. I actually got my first job so I could have my own money to hunt for thrift store finds. My dad had to drive me. Currently I’m working on a little project I am calling Budget but Beautiful. I can’t wait to share more with you.
A Plentiful Life is living your best life on a budget with abundance, style and money in your pocket. I would love for you to join me on this adventure where I will DIY, Meal Plan, Budget, create Fugal Outfits and go on Grand Adventures that are totally affordable.
