Holiday Cocktail: Only 5 Minutes & 5 Ingredients

December 14, 2017

A few weeks ago my talented filmmaker friend Madeline came over to shoot a video for the 20 Minute Table Setting. We had so much fun making the video and since I had some wonderful friends coming over to help I thought it would be a good idea to make a holiday cocktail for the video! The cocktail was a last minute addition, so it had to be quick and easy, with only a few ingredients. The beautiful Coupe Glass and Cranberry Napkins, from Wayfair made the cocktail shine.

You know I love saving time as much as I do saving money!  This cocktail is on budget and will only take you 5 minutes to prepare.  When you don’t have a lot of time, look at what you have on hand.  We found wonderful rosemary on the bush outside, champagne from our engagement party and frozen cranberries in the freezer. All we needed was the cranberry juice.  Mark was the hero of the day, in so many ways!  He ran out for the cranberry juice and was back in a flash.

How delicious does that look?  I think the cranberry champagne cocktail is my new go to mimosa.  A little holiday twist on an old classic, I’m pretty sure it will be a hit!  Here is the recipe.

holiday cocktail

4 Tbsp Orange Liqueur (we used Cointreau)

4 Tbsp Cranberry Juice

1 Bottle Cold Prosecco

12 Cranberries (We used frozen to keep the drink cold)

4 Sprigs of Rosemary.

Since we were going to use this throughout the dinner scene of our 20 Minute Table Setting shoot we doubled the recipe and used a large jug on hand.  This cocktail can easily be prepared in advance as it will save time, although you may lose a few bubbles from the prosecco.  I highly recommend this cocktail for you holiday brunch or girls night.  Anyone have a go to holiday cocktail?
