Sometimes when you are creating a DIY there is a moment where you have inspiration to create another DIY using the same materials! When I was creating the Boho Shade Sail the other weekend I had the idea to use my vintage white napkins my baba had made for me and dip dye them! I was thrilled with how they turned out! I want to dye everything now!
Step One: Pick your dye. I went to a local store and bought a box for $2.99.
Step Two: Pick your material. I had vintage white napkins handmade by my Baba. Get the material wet before you dye it.
Step Three: Dip the napkin in the dye. This creative step is up to you. I dipped my napkins halfway and held it in the water for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Step Four: Rinse the napkins in salted water to set the dye, and hang to dry.
Step Five: Admire your handy work! It’s so rewarding when a DIY turns out better than you could have imagined!
Step Six: Style the napkins. This is the most fun! How creative you can be with a simple napkin that is now a great addition to any table!
TOTAL COST:
Dye: $2.99 (used for two projects)
Napkins: Free
Time: 15 minutes
An investment of $2.99 was totally worth it! I had so much fun making these, obviously with the help of a few lovely friends and wine!
