Ripped jeans are everywhere! I went shopping for a pair and couldn’t justify the large price tag for something ripped! I was lucky enough to score these jeans for free from a friend! I figured the time was now, the jeans were free, and if it went horribly wrong at least it was free!
I really liked the color of these jeans, they fit like a boyfriend jean and are a great color for spring and summer!
I started by trying on the jeans and marking where they hit my knee. I then used a combination of scissors and a scrub pad to weaken the jean around the knee. I didn’t simply want to cut a straight line, I really wanted the knee to look worn.
My arm started to get sore, but it was worth it! As you can see the jean started to get very thin, which is the look I wanted.
I then made a very small cut and used my hands to make the rip bigger. I also pulled the jean away so I was able to get the nice frayed look.
Easy as that! Ripped jeans! I may make the rip bigger or add some more as I go but I figured this was a good start! Now get ripping!
