Fall Date Night Outfit

Date night outfits are always fun to plan! I LOVE getting dressed up for date night. Life is crazy, to slow down and spend time with Mark is my favorite things to do. I honestly don’t care whether we go on a bike ride, walk through the park, a fancy dinner or out to a movie night. I always try to get dressed up. It makes date night fun and special. Does anyone else do this? It doesn’t mean I go out and but a new outfit for every date night. I definitely like to use what I have to get a little dressy!

This fitted shirt looks great with jeans but I wanted to dress it up for a date night outfit. One item I had on my Thrift Pieces I Want to Find list were skirts. Last week I posted about the vintage wool Plaid Skirt I thrifted that is a great fall addition to my wardrobe. This black skirt is also vintage and wool, perfect for those chilly fall evenings. For only $5.99 I added a piece that can easily pair with a sweater or blouse or even tights with flats. A great versatile wardrobe addition for fall.

I’ve had these floral shoes in my closet for a while now. I mostly wear them for weddings or to dress up jeans. The moody florals look great with the burgundy sweater and black skirt. Adds a pop of colour to the date night outfit. Plus they are comfortable! If I am going to wear heels I need to walk miles in them all night long without my feet hurting. Whenever I buy a new pair of heels I always walk around in the store. To make sure they are easy to walk in.

An easy way to dress up an outfit is to add a large shawl like this Oak + Fort piece I thrifted. It works great layered under a jacket but on it’s own is perfect for a date night outfit. When the shawl is paired with a sweater it is perfect for this fall weather. I used to own a few poncho type cover ups and they were frustrating since you had to pull them over your head. This is a great alternative as its warm, simply slides over your shoulders and shows off your outfit.
