A Budget Friendly Holiday Outfit for Under $100

December 8, 2017

I’ve been searching for a nice holiday shirt I can dress up or wear to a casual party. I totally lucked out with this green Jacob bow t-shirt from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. The shirt looks great with a pair of jeans or heals and a skirt.

I wanted to show a great outfit that could work for a day to night look. I also found this faux leather skirt at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and have loved incorporating it into my fall wardrobe. This skirt looks great with a sweater or a blouse and is so comfortable.

During work I wore this outfit with my favorite wool sweater jacket, giving it more of a classic look and then in the evening wore a leather jacket for a more chic look.

Let’s break it down this fun holiday outfit.

Jacobs T-shirt: $4.99 (Salvation Army Thrift Store), Forever 21 Skirt: $5.99 (Salvation Army Thrift Store), Boots: $70 (Winners), Purse: $20 (Winners), Costume Necklace: $6 (Joe Fresh)

TOTAL: $100.98

I know I talk about living your best life on a budget and post all of my amazing thrift store finds from the Salvation Army Thrift Store but sometimes there are investment pieces. Occasionally I’m lucky enough to find these at the thrift store but if I’m not I need to look elsewhere. $70 boots might not be budget for some, but when I bought these I looked at them as an investment. They had a good sole, nice leather boot and I knew they would last. I’ve had these for over two years now and they still look new.

All the money I save shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store allows me to save for more expensive pieces like boots or jackets. What’s a great holiday find you discovered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store?
