When I think of markets, usually Christmas comes to mind, as that used to be the only season you could shop local artisan markets. This is not the case any more! You can now find wonderful spring markets, which is perfect timing as we all have events throughout the spring and summer. I will be checking out Made in the 604 Sunday, April 7 at the Heritage Hall here in Vancouver.

I’m rounding up a few of the vendors I am excited to check out, listing them in categories. I don’t know about you, but I really like to plan ahead. Looking at my calendar, seeing what’s coming up and picking up a few gifts really takes the stress away. As we move into a busy summer season, planning ahead is a great choice! Plus I love shopping local. Sometimes you need to go to a few stores in order to find all the gifts you want, so when a great market, like Made in the 604, comes along you need to take advantage.
MOTHER’S DAY (MAY 12)

A beautiful collection of beaded jewelry but I fell in love with this compass necklace and thought my mom would really like this dainty piece.

My mom loves ceramics and blue is her favorite colour. The texture of local ceramist Sarah Cameron’s pieces are dreamy, I can’t wait to see them in person.
FATHER’S DAY (JUNE 16)

My dad loves hot sauce. I can’t wait to test out this new sauce. I think it would be a great summer addition to the condiment shelf.

My dad is retired and always looking for a new hobby, I thought these plants from Drift and Grow would be perfect in the bathroom he renovated.
BRIDAL SHOWER

What every bride needs is to pamper herself! Am I right? These delicious looking soaps from JB and Co Bath look absolutely delightful. I am so excited to smell them in person.

Whether your a bridesmaid or helping with a bridal shower, everyone needs a beautiful cake. You need to check out all of the unique designs by Baked by Meesh.
MYSELF (THAT’S ALLOWED, RIGHT?)

Oils, candles, face rollers, I need everything High Vibes Apothecary has! I really like that it’s all natural. Now to decide which one I will buy!

Beautiful linens for your home and wardrobe. I have been coveting a great one piece romper and this dusty pink one from Serenity West might be perefect.
This is only a small round up of the beautiful items available at the Made in the 604 Market. Check out their Instagram as they reveal all of the wonderful vendors who will be present on the day. I am sure I will make a few more purchases, but it is always nice to check out the vendors before to get a few ideas.
Happy shopping!
