Top of my list for fall was a couple wool sweaters. I find wool is so nice for this season as it keeps me the perfect temperature! A thrifted sweater was a must-have! I have been very lucky to find a wonderful thrifted wardrobe from my local Salvation Army thrift store. This Zara wool sweater was a steal at $8.99.

Thrifting items such as wool sweaters is a great investment. Let’s look at a few reasons wool is a good material, especially for maternity!
Thrifted Sweater: Wool
- Highly breathable material.
- Great temperature regulation.
- A natural fibre.
- Soft and comfortable to wear.
- There’s stretch to the fabric. (perfect for the growing bump!)
- Easy to take care of.

Whether you are pregnant or simply looking to expand your fall wardrobe, I think wool sweaters are always a great investment. Besides being easy to wash, they don’t seem to pill as badly as cheaper sweaters. My local Salvation Army thrift store had quite a few current wool sweater styles as well as some vintage.

Besides looking stylish for fall and keeping me warm, this thrifted sweater has grown with my bump! Although thrifting can be affordable, I think it’s always a good idea to invest in quality pieces that will last more than one season. Or if you want something that is more on trend, it’s easy to donate it the following year. With thrift shopping it can be easy to buy something because it’s inexpensive but you want to make sure it works with your wardrobe and will be a classic piece you can keep for a few years.
