Comfortable Summer Getaway Outfit

No one wants to travel in joggers, well, actually everyone does but it’s not very stylish, lol! We are out of town this weekend and I wanted a comfortable getaway outfit for the plane. Since it’ll be hot when we depart and warm when we arrive I needed something that was both comfortable and light. Do you remember this grey skirt from last year? Since it is made of t-shirt material I simply cut it all the same length as I wanted to update the look and keep the skirt.

I actually scored this skirt at a clothing swap! Do you ever host clothing swaps with your friends? It’s a great way to refresh your wardrobe without spending a dime, plus declutter and get rid of the items that no longer work for you. We’ve hosted a few over the past couple years and they’ve all been a huge success! It’s a great way to get together for an afternoon, try on some clothes and test out some new cocktails! As it’s almost fall, this would be a great time to start organizing one.

I am still in love with this duffle bag I found at the thrift store brand new last year! It’s not too heavy and can fit everything I need for the weekend, while still looking stylish. A good weekend bag is a great investment. It makes traveling so much easier when you have one bag to fit all your items and you can easily carry it around.
