I made a simple Halloween Banner last year to decorate our front door. This is a DIY that will take 5 minutes to put together! The longest part is cutting out the letters. It’s a great DIY because you can use it year after year. I really like projects that are easily stored for continuous use. Buying new décor every year can be expensive and take a lot of time.
To make the Halloween Banner I simply used the DIY from my holiday Joy Banner. It’s the exact same steps!
Here are the materials you will need to create you own Halloween Banner. Remember, you don’t always have to buy everything. What do you have? Think of the crafts you’ve made over the past year and all the bits and bobs leftover.
With two little babies on the way I need really easy holiday decor! Also I don’t know about you but I am not a huge fan of buying new decor every year. With all of the social media content, sometimes I am baffled by the amount of money spent each year to decorate. First off who has that much storage and wants to buy everything new each year?
For me it’s smarter to find pieces of decor or make DIY’s that can work year after year. I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars every holiday. I know this has nothing to do with my DIY Halloween Banner, but it’s more to get everyone thinking about what is important. Do we need to have the BEST front door with every season or can we use what we have and make it work? I think this has been something I am struggling with lately. I love making DIY’s and if it’s affordable and can easily work then of course! If not I am going to try and use what I already have.
